Timely Warning: COVID-19

2020-04-17

Good evening:

Shortly after today’s campus update was sent, a member of the Concordia community self-reported being positively tested for COVID-19. This individual has been away from campus since March 12 and is in contact with the Department of Health.  The college has not been contacted by public health for contact tracing, and given the amount of time this individual has been away from campus, we do not expect additional follow up.

In the days and weeks to come, more individuals in our region will likely be diagnosed with this virus. Please be vigilant about your personal health. Call your doctor if you develop a fever and symptoms of respiratory illness, such as cough or difficulty breathing. Your health facility will determine next steps. Also, please contact Concordia’s Health Services at 218.299.3662 to alert the college if you are being tested for COVID-19 or if you need assistance. Additional information about COVID-19 can be found at the Minnesota Department of Health website  and the CDC website.

The safety, security and health of our campus community is our priority.

Bill MacDonald
Public Safety Director
