Security Message: High Risk Offender

Good afternoon,

The college is notifying you of a high risk offender who has moved in to the 700 block of 8th street south.

Leslie Allen Lunstad is a 62 year old white male with gray hair and hazel eyes. He is 5'9 and weighs 255 lbs. The offender engaged in sexual contact with a 7 year-old female victim. The contact included sexual touching. Offender was known to victim. Offender also has a history of window peeping.

Timely Warning: Attempted Burglary

Aug. 23 - 10:21 a.m.

At approximately 7:00 am on Wednesday, August 23, a male attempted to enter offices on the second floor of the Grant Center. He is approximately 5’8, medium build, bald with a scruffy beard. He was wearing a long-sleeve black t-shirt with the American flag on the front and blue jeans. He was carrying tools with him at the time. A photo of the male is attached.

If you see this man or any suspicious activity, do not confront or approach him, but please call Concordia Public Safety at 218.299.3123 or Moorhead Police at 9-1-1.

Suspect is in custody.
Access to the 1900 block of 6th St. is still restricted at this time.

Moorhead Police Perimeter

Moorhead police are setting up a perimeter in the 1900 block of Sixth Street South in Moorhead on a report of a man who may be armed with a gun.

Moorhead Police Lt. Tory Jacobson said police believe that a male who was wanted for other matters was in a residence and was armed.

He said a perimeter was being set up in the area of 20th Avenue and Sixth Street South and efforts were being made to communicate with the suspect inside the house.

10/5/15 - Timely Notice

This warning is provided to inform and educate the campus community of reported crimes that have happened on or near our campus.

The Concordia Public Safety Department was notified of a person being the victim of two assaults. Both assaults are stated to have happened on campus by one suspect. The victim and suspect are acquaintances.

11/12/2014 Timely Notice:

On Saturday night, November 8, a rental house near campus was burglarized. The suspect(s) gained entry by cutting a window screen and lifting up an unlocked storm window. The residence is occupied by college students, none of whom were home at the time. Cash and change were taken.

Concordia Public Safety reminds everyone to keep doors and windows locked at all times. Park your vehicle in a well-lit area and keep all valuables out of sight.
